Who are the Bluetits?

The Bluetits Chill Swimmers Ltd is a Social Enterprise (not-for-profit) with the objective of creating capable, confident communities through cold water swimming & dipping.

We know that swimming and dipping as part of a community has many benefits, it creates new friendships, combats loneliness and there’s the physical and mental health benefits - 94% of members surveyed (in a survey with 4100 responses) said that being part of The Bluetits has had a positive effect on their mental health.

Who are our community?

Our recent survey of members shows that our community are:

• 95% women

• 80% aged 44-69

• 65% Sea Swimmers | 19% Lake Swimmers | 10% River Swimmers | 6% Pool Swimmers

• 80% of Bluetits regularly participate in exercise other than cold water swimming

There are over 100,000 Bluetits across all of our Bluetit Facebook groups.

• 31,000 Facebook followers
• 150+ community groups worldwide
• 120+ UK based groups

What is The Bluetit Discount Card?

The Bluetit Discount Card is a scheme that our members can opt into by paying a small annual fee. The card will give them access to discounts from businesses who are taking part, from small local businesses to large national retailers.

The discounts will only be available to logged in members who will also receive a dedicated monthly newsletter. In the newsletter we will highlight a sponsored featured business, and will run a prize draw with prizes from the featured business.

Why is there a fee for the members to opt in?

The Bluetits Chill Swimmers Ltd is a Social Enterprise, we are passionate about inclusivity, including financial inclusivity. For this reason membership of and participating with the Bluetits social swim community is free to all.

In order to keep our communities free we are always looking and interesting and innovative to raise funds to cover running costs.

The funds raised from The Bluetit Shopping Card will allow us to continue supporting our community groups, delivering safety training and putting on fun, inclusive swim events. What’s most important is that people can continue to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits not only of swimming but of being part of a community.

What types of businesses can apply?

We are looking for businesses that sell items that are related to ‘Bluetitting’ this could be anything from swimsuits to picnic blankets because the outdoor experience includes the post dip chats and refreshments. Heres a list to give you an idea, if you think you are a good fit but not listed pop us an email .

• Swim venues (insured venues only)

What next?

Fill in this form if you would like to be a part of the scheme and someone from our team will be in touch. We ask that your discount be a minimum of 10% and run for at least 3 months.
